Mobile app development in Pakistan follows the same steps everywhere: plan, design, build, test and publish. Knowing these steps helps you budget, avoid surprises and launch faster.
Step 1: Plan the first version
Write down:
- Who will use the app (customers, staff, drivers?)
- The three to five most important things they must do
- Whether you need Android, iPhone or both
- What it must connect to — payments, maps, your website or POS
Start small. A focused first version launches sooner and costs less.
Step 2: Design the screens
Before coding, a designer creates the screens so you can see and approve how the app looks and works. Changes are cheap at this stage.
Step 3: Build the app and the back end
Most apps have two parts: the app on the phone, and a back end (server, database and admin panel) that stores data and lets you manage content and orders.
Step 4: Test on real phones
Test on different phones and screen sizes, slow internet, and real situations. Fix problems before customers see them.
Step 5: Publish on Google Play and the App Store
Apps are published under your own developer accounts on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Each store reviews apps before they go live.
What affects the timeline?
- Number of screens and features
- Payments, maps, chat or notifications
- One platform or both
- How quickly feedback and content are ready
What to prepare before you start
- A short description of your idea
- Example apps you like
- Your logo and brand colours
- Who will manage the app after launch
